Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Science History of ANAS has held an event devoted to the 25th anniversary of the occupation of Shusha city, the capital of Azerbaijan culture.

In advance, memory of martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Opening the meeting, director of the Institute Dr. History Maryam Seyidbeyli brought to mind that, city was occupied by Armenian invaders at night of May 7 to 8 in 1992. Speaking about science and culture figures of Azerbaijan who had grown in Shusha city, M.Seyidbeyli noted about ruining of library, scientific and educational temples in the city as well as hundreds of Islamic culture monuments by Armenians.

At the end of her speech, scientist expressed her confidence that, Azerbaijan's strong army is able to liberate our lands from occupation at any time.
