The monograph "Anthropogenic geomorphology of Great Baku" was published, the authors of which are employees of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev - corresponding member of ANAS Elbrus Alizadeh, Ph.D. in geography, assistant professor Sitara Tarihazer, Zarnura Hamidova and S. Mammadov.

The scientific editor of the book, published in Russian, is the Director of the institute, Academician Ramiz Mammadov.

The monograph is dedicated to the memory of the late scientist-geographer Elbrus Alizade.

Analyzing the relief of Great Baku from the morphometric point of view, the researchers prepared a hypsometric map, inclination map, a map of horizontal and vertical dismemberment, maps and diagrams of general, plan and profile curves of the earth's surface. The new book provides detailed information on such exogenous geomorphological processes as landslide, ravine-gullies, abrasive and aeolian processes, as well as eco-geomorphological tension in the territories of mass residence and industrial enterprises.

The results obtained are very valuable for use in urban planning in the territory of Baku.

The monograph is intended for specialists in the field of geomorphology, geology, ecogeomorphology, landscape studies, including the development of the mountainous territories, as well as teachers and students of higher educational institutions.
