Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Academic Hasan Aliyev’s collection has been presented at the Central Scientific Library on the occasion of his 110th jubilee.

The collection submitted by the Institute of Geography to the CSL, covers generally 488 books of various scientific fields.

Director of the Institute of Geography Academic Ramiz Mammadov stated that, such types of events play an important role in perpetuating notable scientist’s memory, their recognizing to the young generation. Making speech on academic’s honorable lifeway R.Mammadov noted that, as a result of his efforts for the first time in the USSR, was established Department of Environmental Protection at the Institute of Geography. Creation of sea observatory in the Caspian Sea, which has been used for 30 years, is associated with the name of Hasan Aliyev.

Doctors of Geography – Shovgi Goychayli, Tapdig Hasanov, Yagub Garibov, PhDs in Geography – Maharram Hasanov, Habil Hagverdiyev, Ismayil Guliyev, scientific worker Zahid Ahmadov and others shared their memories about Hasan Aliyev.
