Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

President of Azerbaijan Geography Society, Director of the Institute of Geography, Academic Ramiz Mammadov was seconded to the Rome, Italy from May 15-17. He attended the international conference on “Geography Society in the network of new world studies” devoted to the 150th jubilee of the Italian Geography Society.

At the international event with participation of President of the Republic of Italy Sergio Mattarella, Academic R. Mammadov delivered a lecture on “Geography of Azerbaijan and activity of Azerbaijan Geography Society”, dealing with priority directions of scientific researches carried out in geography of Azerbaijan, economic-geographic and demographic problems, including new achievements.
