Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Seljuk University of Turkey will cooperate in the field of science and education as part of the Mevlana Exchange Program. At the meeting, organized in the Presidium of ANAS on this occasion, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the parties.
At the meeting President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh noted the importance of cooperation between ANAS and Seljuk University from the point of view of integrating science and education, as well as establishing mutually fruitful ties in this field.
Thanking the leadership of ANAS for the warm welcome, the rector of the Seljuk University, Professor Mustafa Shahin, spoke in detail about the history of the establishment of the higher school he directed, major areas of activity, international programs and projects implemented. He noted that along with strengthening of mutual relations, the exchange of personnel and experience between scientific institutions of ANAS and the university will make a significant contribution to the development of education and science.
Then the parties discussed the spheres of cooperation. According to the agreement, undergraduate and doctoral students of ANAS can take part in the Mevlana Exchange Program. The document provides for the expansion of business cooperation in the field of academic activities, education and innovation, the implementation of projects and development programs in this area, including the exchange of personnel between the parties. According to the memorandum, both organizations will conduct joint scientific videoconferences and meetings.
The document was signed by the President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizade and the rector of SU, Professor Mustafa Shahin.
