The United Nations has declared 2014 the Year of International Crystallography
Crystallography – is a science of the crystals, their structure, formation and characteristics. This science is closely related to mineralogy, solid state physics and chemistry.
UN General Assembly resolution conducts about crystallography and its potential use in the study of environmental problems and important role in the fight against diseases.
Lecture coauthored by Nazim Mammadov, director of the Institute of Physics Dr. physics-math and Imamaddin Amiraslanov, leading scientific worker of “Innovation” department PhD in physics on “Crystallography: yesterday, today and tomorrow” and submitted to meeting of the Presidium of ANAS has been dedicated to future prospects of this sphere.
