Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Caucasus Studies of ANAS has held a round table devoted to the 99th anniversary of Azerbaija People Republic.

Director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Musa Gasimli spoke of the history of Azerbaijan People Republic and stated that, on May 28, 2018 – 100th jubilee of the first democratic parlamentiary republic in the East - Azerbaijan People Republic, will be marked. Scientist stressed the importance of the Order by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the 100th jubilee of Azerbaijan People Republic” dated May 16, 2017.

M.Gasimli noted that Azerbaijan People Republic has decently completed the undertaken historical and difficult task.

Head of Institute’s Nothern Caucasus Department, Ph.D. in History, Assoc. Prof. Vasif Gafarov, head of Caucasus Policy Department Ph.D. in History, Assoc. Prof. Ramila Dadashova, head of Armenia study Department, Ph.D. in History Ziyad Amrahov and others made speech on various pages of history of the People Republic at the round table.
