Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Kazakhstan, Astana, by organizational support of the International Turkic Academy, the Turkic historical structure and TİKA held the II International Humanitarian Forum "The Great Steppe".

Forum organized by the International Turkic Academy were discussed the scientific integration between the Turkic states, study of Turkic literature and the Turkic languages, study of modern trends and factors in the development of history, archeology, ethnography and other spheres.

The main strategic objective of the forum is to ensure the humanitarian integration of Turkic countries and the implementation of joint projects by attracting the potential of Turkic scholars and intellectuals.

The event in which the authoritative scientists from various countries our country was represented by Director of ANAS Institute of Folklore, Academician Muhtar Imanov, Director of the Scientific and Methodological Center for Cultural Studies of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Philosophy in Political Sciences Asif Usubaliev, Academic Secretary. Presidium of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Agaguseyn Shukurov and employee of the Literature Institute after Nizami, Ph.D. in Philology Vafa Hajiyeva.

At the forum, which continues in 6 sections after the opening session, was listening a report by Academician M. Imanov on "Tripartite comparison in the mythological view and the problem of the bifurcation of the image in fiction".

The event also featured reports on "The Advantage of Values in the Cultural Policy of Turkic Speaking Countries" by A. Usubaliyev and "Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Literary Links in the Years of Independence" by A. Shukurov.

Further the reports were widely discussed.

At the end of the forum, an agreement was reached on the establishment of joint standing committees on certain areas and implementation of joint projects.
