Institute of Oriental Studies held a meeting with Egyptian journalists and scientists

Professor of the University of Cairo, a well-known specialist in comparative literature Ahmad Dervish and Egypt's famous journalist Ahmad al-Tarabik visited the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Academician Ziya Bunyadov of ANAS. They were accompanied by the chairman of the Egyptian Cultural Center in Azerbaijan Ahmad Sami Elaidi.

Egyptian scientists met with the team of the Institute of Oriental Studies. Head of the Department of History and Economics of Arab countries, Ph.D. in history Farda Asadov informed the guests in detail about the scientific activities of the Institute.

At the meeting, Ahmad Dervish informed about his research on Azerbaijani literature and science, told about medieval Azerbaijani writers and scientists who won great success in the Arab countries.

Ahmad al-Tarabik, who is the author of numerous articles on Azerbaijan, spoke about the elimination of the information deficit in connection with Azerbaijan in his country. He gave information about his own book "Karabakh is the road leading to peace in the Caucasus", published three years ago in Arabic, and this year - in the Azerbaijani language.

In conclusion, the Egyptian guests responded orientalists’ questions.
