The first cover of “Gadabay folklore patterns” was published by Institute of Folklore of ANAS.

Designers of the book are institute’s director, Academic Mukhtar Kazimoghlu – Imanov and Ph.D. Philology Sabina Isayeva.

In the new edition, folklore texts are dominated by tales and anecdotes collected in different years in the city of Gadabay and different villages of this region. The book includes magical, religious and everyday tales collected from this region, anecdotes of Molla Nasraddin. The new edition also reflected the meeting of Ashug Alasgar with Ashug Huseyn from Shamkir, new versions of the legends about the visits of Ashug Alasgar to Nakhchivan and Henna, as well as the previously unreleased texts dedicated to Novras Iman.

In the collection, readers can read the texts devoted to the wedding and mourning traditions, plots for changing weather - wind, rain, etc.
