Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The Institute of Literature named after Nizami of ANAS held a meeting with representatives of the Professional Union of the Authors of Scientific and Literary Works of Turkey (ILESAM).

Speaking at the meeting, Vice-President of ANAS, Director of the institute, Academician Isa Habibbayli, recalled the agreement on cooperation signed between the two structures. He noted that this agreement is of great importance from the point of view of bringing the literary environment of the two countries to the public. Academician stressed the importance of holding joint conferences, publishing books and articles under the contract.

Then, ILESAM chairman Mehmet Nuri Parmaksyz said that in March-April 2018, with the joint organizational support of both structures, an international symposium will be held. M.N.Parmaksyz brought to attention that the next Day of Poets, which will be held annually in connection with the birthday of the poet Mikail Mushvig, will be dedicated to the work of Khalil Rza Uluturk.

Khayal Rza, representative of Azerbaijan Writers' Union (SPA), who spoke at the event, noted that within the framework of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, commemorative events dedicated to the poets of independence will be held.
