Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

In recent years, Science Development Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been successfully cooperating with the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Foundation for Basic Research of the Republic of Belarus. The Foundation also keeps in touch with the Embassy of Belarus in Azerbaijan. On March 30, 2017, at the meeting held at the Science Development Fund with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Azerbaijan Gennady Akhramovich, an agreement was reached to support the development of effective cooperation between scientists of Azerbaijan and Belarus.

According to the official information received by the Science Development Foundation from the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Azerbaijan, the agreements reached at the initiative of the Science Development Foundation are already at the stage of implementation.

In October-November 2017, 2nd Azerbaijan-Belarus scientific conference will be held as a continuation of the first conference held in Minsk with joint organizational support of the parties and financial support of the Science Development Fund. A special discussion of the results of grant projects is planned at the conference.

The exhibition of scientific achievements of Belarusian scientists will be held in Baku in 2018.

At present, scientific examination of the projects presented in connection with the Second Azerbaijan-Belarus joint grant competition announced in 2017 is being carried out. In September this year, it is planned to publish the results.

In accordance with the requirements of the modern era, cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus has been established in the economic, political and humanitarian spheres, relevant agreements have been signed, competitions have been organized taking into account priority areas and preferences of applied spheres.
