Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Ganja Branch of ANAS held an event devoted to the 15 June - Day of National Salvation.

In advance, national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded.

Chairman of the Branch, Academic Fuad Aliyev spoke of the historical importance of national salvation day and exceptional merits of national leader Heydar Aliyev in development of modern independent Azerbaijan and stated that, 15 June, 1993 is the emancipation day of Azerbaijan, which was faced by threat of extinction. Great son of Azerbaijan people national leader Heydar Aliyev’s return to the power at the people’s request, the country has rescued from civil war and a threat of collapse.

Making speech of fruitful consequences of Heydar Aliyev’s policy, F.Aliyev reminded national leader’s special care to science and education.

Then, were listened a lecture by chief department of Public Relations of the Branch Ayten Ismayilova on “Heydar Aliyev: a protector of science and education”, a junior researcher of the Ethnography Institute Ayaz Huseynov on “Ganja, modernizing by protecting its antiquity: the city, where live ideas of national leader”.

In closing, F. Aliyev brought to mind the latest achievements of Azerbaijan and its historical successes as a result of indefatigable activity of President Ilham Aliyev.
