Sergei Dmitriyev, Head of the Nuclear Fuel Laboratory at the United Nuclear Research Institute (UNRI) after G.N.Flerov delivered a lecture on “The heavier elements of the periodic table of D. I. Mendeleyev” at the Institute of Physics.

Institute’s director Academic Nazim Mammadov said that, S.Dmitriyev carried out vital studies in this field and was known not only in Russia but also in the whole world. Then the speaker spoke on the subject. He noted that, scientific discoveries in the Nuclear Reaction Lab were the beginning of the development of new areas in the field of nuclear physics.

Later on, topic was discussed and questions responded.

After event, guest visited Innovation sector of the Institute of Physics, and got acquainted with logistical base installed here.
