A group of scientists headed by ANAS president, academician Akif Alizadeh visited Khizi Base Station.
Scientists got acquainted with the state of compliance with existing standards and standards for the protection and improvement of land fertility in the area. The management of ANAS conducted an inspection on the sown areas of barley, wheat and other varieties of vegetable crops.
The management of ANAS held a conversation with specialists working at Khizi Base Station, discussed the work done in connection with the fulfillment of the tasks set, gave corresponding instructions on a number of issues. The scientists spoke about the need to improve soil fertility, strengthen the livestock feed base, protect natural fodder plots, improve pastures and preserve plant biodiversity in the development of the agrarian sector, including animal husbandry, and meet the demand of the population for individual agricultural products. Speaking about the importance of modernizing the agrarian sphere on the basis of scientific knowledge during the period of dynamic development of the country's economy, the head of ANAS stressed the importance of creating a diversified agro-complex in Khizi Base Station in terms of increasing the efficiency of work in this area. Having given relevant instructions on the preparation of preliminary agro-complex projects, the leadership of ANAS noted the importance of improving the culture of agriculture, strengthening the ties between science and production, improving technology in this area and making extensive use of modern technologies, realizing scientific and technological achievements and best practices.
Head of the Department of Affairs of the Presidium's Office, Doctor of Political Sciences Fatali Abdullayev, Deputy Head of the Department Sardar Aliyev and Director of the Central Botanical Garden, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Vakhid Farzaliyev also took part in the trip.
