ANAS High Technologies Park collaborates with Korea Institute of Science and Technology

Representatives of the International Innovation Cooperation Center (IICC) of the Korea Institute for Scientific and Technical Policy (STEPI) are on a visit to Baku. On August 7, STEPI started training seminars on the topic "Innovative policy and the industry of scientific technologies" for employees of ANAS  High Technologies Park.

Director of the ANAS High Technologies Park, Ph.D. in agrarian sciences Vugar Babayev noted that, the main priority direction of the country's economy is the growth of scientific, technological and innovative potential. He stressed the importance of studying international experience in this field, and also said that the main goal of the seminar is to study Korea's experience in applying innovations in industry, establishing stable cooperation between Azerbaijan and Korea in the field of science and technology.

The head of the training group Eunzho Kim noted that, the STEPI which established in 1987 plays an important role in the development of scientific and technical policy as well as national competitiveness by expanding the global thinking platform for research in this field. Established in 2014 under STEPI, the International Innovation Cooperation Center is interested in sharing Korea's experience in science, technology and innovation with partner countries, including with Azerbaijan.

Seminar which will take place over 4 days will cover topics such as "Implementing the Science Technology Policy", "Managing Scientific, Technological and Innovative Parks", "Establishing a National Regional Innovation System".

At the seminar also will be reports on the important role of scientific and technical and innovation policies in national innovation, the successes achieved in scientific and technical and innovation policies aimed at the growth of the Korean economy. The current state and problems of the Azerbaijan scientific and technical policy will also be discussed.

The seminar will discuss the policy of transfer and commercialization of technologies, the current state of this sphere in Azerbaijan. In conclusion, the participants will be awarded certificates.
