Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

A scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry named after academician M.Nagiyev of ANAS with the participation of Professor Andrey Shevelykov, Head of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of Moscow State University (MSU).

Director of the Institute, vice-president of ANAS, academician Dilgam Tagiyev talked about the scientific relations between his organization and the University. He noted that currently, Catalysis and the Institute of Organic Chemistry and the Moscow State University are discussing the possibility of further development of scientific relations in the field of inorganic synthesis and material science and the possibility of implementing joint projects.

Professor Shevkov is one of the world-renowned scientists in the field of inorganic chemistry, and articipated in more than 30 lectures as lecturer, Tagiyev notified.

Later, A.Shevelkov made a report on "The strong electron correlation of iron: toward the new Iron Age".

The report was welcomed by the participants and discussions were held.
