ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics published book "Explanatory Dictionary of Oil and Gas Production Terms".

Published by the "Argunesh" publishing house, by the decision of the Terminological Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers the editor-in-chief of the book is the President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh, corresponding member of ANAS Arif Guliyev and Ph.D. in engineering Ramig Efendiyev and Mammad Hashim Hajiyev.

The grant is dedicated to the memory of the active member of ANAS, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Mitat Abasov.

The book contains about 11,000 terms related to oil and gas geology and geophysics, prospecting, exploration and development of deposits, drilling and operation of wells, transportation and storage of oil and gas. The publication also commented on the terms most used in the economics of oil and gas production, economic and mathematical modeling, including in a number of areas of science and technology. Explanations of the terms presented in Azerbaijani, English and Russian are given in the native language.

The book is intended for specialists of the oil and gas industry, researchers, teachers, students and translators of technical literature.
