Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The VIII Russian-Azerbaijani Interregional Forum on "Investments, Innovations, Tourism" was held in Stavropol, Russian Federation on 27-29 September 2017.

The forum organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russia was held in the framework of cooperation in the field of industrial and humanitarian cooperation, tourism development, innovations in health and other issues, round tables, business relations exchange and bilateral cooperation documents.

At the beginning of the event congratulatory message of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin was read.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, Russian Economic Development Minister Maksim Oreshkin, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev, Director General of the Russian Export Center, Chairman of Russia-Azerbaijan Business Council Mikhail Fradkov and others noted that the event will play an important role in the development of strategic cooperation between Moscow and Baku, they have expressed their confidence that they will be able to effectively implement their potential.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the Department of Science and Education of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, corresponding member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov. A. Sadigov presented his report on "Cooperation between Azerbaijani and Russian scientists: reality and perspectives".

At the end of the event, documents on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia were signed.
