On October 19, presentation of the book "Nakhchivan: Historical Memory and Modern Rise" by Honored Teacher of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department of History of Nakhchivan State University, Correspondent Member of ANAS Zahmet Shahverdiyev has been held.

The event was organized jointly by Nakhchivan Department of ANAS, Nakhchivan State University and Nakhchivan University, chairman of the department, academician Ismayil Hajiyev. Noting the importance of the fundamental publication in terms of Nakhchivan's historical development and promotion of its modern rise, the scientist said that the work consisted of two sections. The majority of articles are dedicated to the comprehensive study of the achievements of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the success of the national leader in the independence period and the successes achieved in all spheres of socio-economic and cultural life.

Later, the report was delivered by the director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli entitled "Precious work dedicated to the historical development and modern development of Nakhchivan".

Professor of Nakhchivan State University Huseyn Hashimli, Dean of Nakhchivan University, Doctor of History Elbrus Isayev, Head of the Department of History, Ethnography and Archeology, Ph.D., Associate Professor Emin Shikhaliyev highly valued the new edition.

The author of the book, Zahmat Shahverdiyev, thanked the organizers and participants of the event and those who contributed to the publication of the book.
