Presentation of the book "Flag of Azerbaijan" by Director of the State Flag Museum, Ph.D. in History Konul Imamverdiyeva was held on October 19.

At the event, in which prominent figures of science, culture and art took part, the author of the book Kenul Imamverdiyeva told about the significance of the book. It was noted that, the new edition is devoted to the history of evolution, formation and development of the national flag.

The scientific consultant of the book is Director of ANAS Institute of History, Academician Yagub Makhmudov and reviewer is the Director of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History, Academician Nailya Velikhanli. K.Imamverdiyeva noted that, the purpose of the publication was to bring to readers the exceptional role of the flag in the history of independent statehood, as well as the education of youth in the spirit of patriotism. She expressed her gratitude to all those who took part in the publication of the new book.

Then, speaking Academician Yagub Mahmudov shared his opinion about the book. He noted that, research in the book on the basis of preliminary sources several flags of states that existed on the territory of Azerbaijan in the Middle Ages increases the scientific significance of the publication.

Stressing the numerous merits of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in restoring and accepting our national attributes, the scientist brought to attention that today President Ilham Aliyev gives special instructions for performing exceptional works on the propaganda of the national flag. Formation of the legislative base in connection with the state flag, the relevant work carried out in this direction, are the result of attention and concern of the country's leadership on this field.

At the event Director of the Department of Heydar Aliyev Heritage Research and scientific research of the Heydar Aliyev Center Mahabbat Mehdiyeva, Deputy Director of ANAS Institute of History, Doctor of History sciences Tofig Najafli and others told about the scientific significance of the book.
