Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On the occasion of the World Philosophy Day established by UNESCO, the Institute of Philosophy of ANAS hosted an international scientific conference titled "Development directions of national philosophy in the conditions of globalization".

Director of the Institute, Doctor of Science in Philosophy, Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh said that the World Philosophy Day was founded in November 2002, and today's event is a jubilee event. The scientist pointed out that the main priority issues facing philosophy today are national identity, national ideology and national philosophy.

Speaking at the conference, Head of Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Economics, Professor Isakhan Valiyev noted that the scientists of the Institute of Philosophy represent the Azerbaijani science at the highest level in the world. Today employees of the institute translate professional works of world philosophers to the local audience, and also publish articles in regular journals with high impact factor, he lined out.

The head of Egypt's Cultural Center, Ahmed Sami, noted that today's event is already a tradition. Emphasizing the similarities between Egyptian and Azerbaijani philosophy theory, Sami spoke about the relations in the scientific centers of the two countries.

Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor Eynulla Madatli, Ph.D. Abulhasan Abbasov, Ph.D. Adil Asadov, doctor of philosophy Ali Abbasov, Ph.D. Fuzuli Gurbanov, Ph.D. Rovshan Hajiyev, Ph.D. Sholet Zeynalov and others made lectures at the meeting.
