"The Intervention of the Myth in History: December 21, 2012" book was published by the Scientific Secretary of ANAS Presidium, a researcher of the Institute of Folklore, Ph.D. in Philology Safa Garayev.

The book contains the author's articles devoted to various topical themes of folklore.

In the article "The Intervention of Myth in History: December 21, 2012" as an object of study, global beliefs regarding the end of the world are considered. Here the author studied on the basis of concrete facts, studied folklore as a dynamic, collective and procedural natural sociocultural phenomenon.

As a result of psychoanalytical studies, the author concluded that, despite scientific denial, the reason for the spread of these beliefs was favorable conditions for the collective fulfillment of thanatological fears (personal fear of death) through an appropriate "history".

Thus, it was found that the driving force in spreading beliefs in connection with the end of the world was the fear of people before death, as well as similar traditional metaphors existing in individual cultures.

The publication also includes articles on "Dreams as a psycho-cultural process associated with the system of individual collective symbols", "Shah-Vezir relations in fairy tales as a manifestation of the model of twin myths", etc.
