Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Asaf Hajiyev, active Member of ANAS, Head of Department of the Institute of Control Systems, visited Bulgaria on 14-15 February 2018 at the invitation of the Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians.

On 14 February 2018, A. Hajiyev spoke on "Paradoxical results in probability theory and their application " at the National Mathematical Colloquium that took place at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

On 15 February 2018, A. Hajiyev took part in the ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians. The meeting was attended by the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, ministers and chairman of the European Mathematical Society.

A. Hajiyev met with the Chairman of the European Mathematical Society Prof. Pavel Exner and the famous mathematician Academician B. Sendov and discussed with them cooperation and membership of the Azerbaijan Mathematical Society in this society.
