The article by chairman of ANAS Nakhchivan Division, academician Ismail Hajiyev was published in the regular issue of the international journal "IRS-Herencia" in Spanish.

The article entitled "Alinjagala - the symbol of the inflexibility of Azerbaijan" gives information about Alinjagal, which occupies a special place in the history of Azerbaijan statehood. The article also includes photos of the fortress reflecting the traces of the Nakhchivan architectural school.

The article notes that, Alinjagala fortress located at a distance of 30 km to the east of Nakhchivan, in the village of Julfa region Khanaga, on the right bank of the river Alinja, over the mountain Alinja at an altitude of 1811 meters. The fortress was built before BC by the tribal association "Alinjak" living on this territory, it was restored to the 5th century AD. Alinjak is one of the ancient Turkic tribes. And the name of the fortress of Alinja comes from the name of this tribal association.

It is reported that Alinjagala was the oldest defensive fortress and settlement. The history of this fortress is closely connected with the history of the struggle of the Azerbaijani people for freedom and independence. Among these sources, the oldest known science source, in which Alinjagala was mentioned, is the epic "Kitabi Dede-Gorgud." The name of the fortress of Alinjagala is found in the battles about "Ushun oglu Seyreka".

It was brought to the attention that according to the decree "On the organization of work on the protection and certification of historical and cultural monuments in the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic", dated December 6, 2005, Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Vasif Talibov, when registering and certifying monuments on the territory of the Autonomous Republic collected information about Alinjagal. Note that, Alinjagala as a monument of world importance is included in the list of "Real historical and cultural monuments of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of world and local significance" approved by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated November 21, 2007.

The article says that according to the order "On the restoration of the historical monument of Alinjagala in the Djulfa district" by the Chairman of the Supreme Mejlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Vasif Talibov, on February 11, 2014, in April 2014 in Alinjagal, restoration work began. During the reconstruction work, a road was laid to the top of the fortress, residence places, economic buildings, ancient fortress walls, trenches and reservoirs were investigated. The monument was restored with the preservation of its historical appearance. Also, at the western foot of the Alinja Mountain, on the side of the road leading to the fortress, the Historical and Cultural Museum "Alinjagala" was established.

After the completion of reconstruction and repair works on June 17, 2016, the opening ceremony took place with the participation of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Vasif Talibov.
