Next seminar-training of the II Special Department held

Presidium of ANAS held a next seminar-training of the II Special Department.

Meeting with participation of headquarter chiefs of the institute and organizations of Academy was opened by head of department Eldar Guliev, who brought to mind the issues envisaged in the plan.

E.Guliyev recalled the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Announcing Extraordinary Presidential Elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan" of February 5, 2018. He noted that today Azerbaijan is a country that has its place in the international arena and has an internal stability. He achieved numerous successes in political, economic, cultural, scientific and other spheres. The department head noted that, the candidacy of AR President Ilham Aliyev for the presidential elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan was unanimously supported.

E.Guliev stressed that, during the Soviet period our history was falsified, so we need to know our history and bring realities to future generations.

Then, deputy director for research work of the Institute of History, PhD in history Jabi Bahramov spoke on "Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the announcement of the extraordinary presidential elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and the international situation. "He said that, the creation of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in difficult political conditions is considered a great success and described as a crime the transfer of Yerevan to Armenia under the pressure of certain states without taking into account public opinion.

J.Bahramov noted that, important studies were carried out in the archives of Great Britain, Germany, France and Iran aimed at studying the genocides committed by Armenians in 1918 against Azerbaijanis: "According to the information received, Armenians were given a strong financial support for genocide in 1918 against Azerbaijanis support the United States, Britain, France and Russia. During the research it was found out that the number of Azerbaijanis subjected to genocide reached 700 thousand".

The scientist noted that, the damage done to our country during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict exceeds 820 billion dollars, and the Minsk Group with the participation of the United States, Russia and France was established to settle the conflict. Noting that today Azerbaijan pursues a peaceful policy, J.Bakhramov said that, Armenians leave their country because of hunger and poverty.

Speaking about the extraordinary presidential elections, the scientist stressed that this decision was made taking into account both the domestic and international situation. The scientist said that after gaining independence, Azerbaijan achieved great successes in the military and economic spheres and ranks 50th in the world in terms of its military and 37th in economic power: "During the period of independence, the Baku-Tbilisi- Ceyhan pipeline, and last year the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line was realized. The historical Silk Road from China to London has been restored and work is underway to implement the North-South railway corridor between Russia and Azerbaijan. "

J.Bahramov noted that, the internal and external forces are carrying out certain propaganda work to prevent Azerbaijan's participation in the international arena, which creates difficulties in the implementation of these works. It was stressed that today Azerbaijan pursues a successful policy, therefore there is no alternative to AR President Ilham Aliyev at the elections.

At the end of the speech the scientist noted that at present our country is conducting an information war, and the Institute of History is taking practical measures in this direction.

Further, at the meeting, were listening speeches by the chiefs of staff of the Civil Defense in connection with training, warnings of the Civil Defense Forces in February, as well as events held on the occasion of March 1 - World Civil Defense Day.
