"Azerbaijan's ore deposit atlas", a product of six-year work of the scientists of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Institute of Geology and Geophysics, has been published in "Elm" publishing house.

Atlas has been developed on the basis of perennial studies of Azerbaijani scientists. The scientific findings of researchers in the field of flux fields are also reflected in the new edition. The editor-in-chief is academician Akif Alizadeh, president of ANAS. Atlas has rich material on industrial or genetic types of ore deposits in Azerbaijan. The 192-page atlas contains 469 macros and micro photography, map, scheme, geological diagram, and 42 tables. Comprehensive geological, structural, morphological, mineralogical, geochemical and other features of Dashkasan, Shamkir, Goygol, Aghdere, Chanlibel, Lachin, Aylis, Dardagh, Gizilbulag, Bashkandchay, Shakirdere, Agyurd and other ore deposits are reflected.

"Azerbaijan's ore deposit atlas" attracted the attention of foreign experts. Academician N.Bortnikov, scientific director at the Institute of Geology of Ore Deposits,Petrography, Mineralogy, and Geochemistry, highly appreciated the atlas. The Russian scientist said that the atlas will attract public funds and potential investors to invest in ore deposits in Azerbaijan.

According to Dadash Huseynov, deputy director of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS, "Atlas of ore deposits of Azerbaijan", prepared on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of this science center, will also be published in English.
