A meeting of the Commission on development of aluminum industry, increase of production and organization of aluminum complex industrial processing was held at ANAS.
Academician Dilgam Tagiyev, vice-president of ANAS, spoke about the history and current state of the aluminum industry. He said that at the Ganja Gil-Land enterprise, which was the basis of the aluminum industry in the country, it was used as a raw material for local aluminum and imported bauxite ores from primary aluminum. The Azaraluminum Company was established in 2000.
Academician D.Taghiyev spoke about the development of aluminum industry and its potential in this area, one of the priorities of the Strategic Road Map. In this regard, the issues of cooperation with relevant agencies, including infrastructure for the implementation of projects and expansion of economic cooperation, were discussed in order to identify targets in this direction.
The director of the ANAS High Technology Park, PhD in Agrarian Sciences Vugar Babayev spoke about the tasks facing the commission in the field of increasing aluminum production and complex industrial processing. The director also spoke about cooperation opportunities with the "Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation" OJSC ("ASK" OJSC) in the direction of aluminum processing.
At the meeting, the department head of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Doctor of Geology and Mineralogy Chingiz Gashgai spoke about geological prospecting works carried out in the territory of the republic in order to reveal aluminum ore deposits.
Later, Doctor of Science in Political Science, Head of the Administration of ANAS, Fatali Abdullayev noted the importance of using the scientific and technical potential and experience of the relevant institutes of ANAS.
Dr. Arif Heydarov, PhD in Technical Sciences Telman Israfilov and others spoke about the application of modern technological methods, environmental safety and waste management in the production.
