Under Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, doctor of history the guidance of Najaf Museyibli, the state of a number of monuments in the Middle Ages, Bronze and Early Iron Age were examined in Goranboy, Shamkir, Tovuz and Aghstafa, and the characteristics of these archaeological monuments were determined on the basis of surface materials.
Ancient grave monuments exposed as a result of natural and anthropogenic impacts revealed a pair of earrings, rings, pearls and pipe-shaped beads and pendants made of gold and bronze.
All these findings prove that gold mining in Azerbaijan was at a high level of development 2700-3000 years ago.
