An international conference on "Actual problems of contemporary natural and economic sciences" dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Ganja.

At the conference held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Ganja, Head of the Executive Power of the city Elmar Valiyev, deputies of the Milli Majlis, employees of scientific-educational institutions operating in our country, young doctors and researchers, as well as scientists from Russia, Turkey, Georgia and Ukraine attended the conference.

First, the conference participants laid flowers at the monument erected to the national leader in front of the center.

The event, which began with the National Anthem, featured a short film about the great leader Heydar Aliyev.

Opening the conference, head of the executive power of Ganja Elmar Veliyev spoke about the rich and multifaceted political activity of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, the numerous works conducted during his leadership, in the direction of the development of science and education in the republic. He noted that the great leader had done a great job in raising the scientific potential of our republic during the Soviet era. In our country, in particular, in Ganja numerous high and secondary special educational institutions, scientific research institutes have started to operate.

Elmar Veliyev noted that, annually in Ganja a cycle of events is held on the occasion of the birthday of the great leader and discussions will be held.

Elmar Valiyev said that, every year in Ganja held a series of events on the occasion of the birth of the great leader and held discussions.

Then, rector of Ganja State University, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Yusif Yusibov told about the work done by the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the field of training highly qualified specialists in higher educational institutions, in particular, pedagogical personnel.

Speaking about the great contribution of the great leader to the development of science in Azerbaijan, the chairman of the Ganja department, academician Fuad Aliyev noted that, the preservation of the academy after the acquisition of independence and the organization of its work at the level of modern requirements are directly related to the name of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.

At the event, director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes after Yu.M.Mammadaliev, academician Vagif Abbasov, vice-rector for science and innovation of Ganja State University, PhD in History Parvin Kerimzadeh, department head of the social legislation of Milli Majlis apparatus Adil Abbasov and others told about the invaluable merits of the great leader in the development of Azerbaijan.

The conference, which lasted two days, carried out work in five directions and seventeen sections. During the conference more than 700 scientific reports were heard.
