Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Director of the Dendrology Institute, correspondent member of ANAS Tofig Mammadov, employees of Laboratory herbarium and seed-growing, Laboratory essential oils plants and Laboratory dendrochronology of the institute had an expedition in Lankaran-Astara region.

According to thematic plan, scientists have conducted monitoring of the Hirkan National Park's natural and cultural dendroflora and researched the current situation.

During the expedition, the staff of the institute appointed natural resources of medicinal herbs. Samples were taken to determine age of perennial trees in Hirkan National Park.

During the expedition, 450 species of herbarium were collected from 70 varieties.
