"Scientific Technologies, Innovation Policy and Industry" a training seminar is held

Representatives of the International Center for Innovative Cooperation (ICIC) of the Korea Institute for Science, Technology and Policy (STEPI) have started training seminars for employees of the High Technologies Park of the ANAS.

Speaking at a seminar on "Scientific Technologies, Innovation Policy and Industry" High Technologies Park Director, Doctor of Philosophy in Agrarian Sciences Vugar Babayev brought to the attention that the seminar had acquired a traditional character. He said that, raising the scientific, technological and innovation potential is the main priority of the country's economy. V.Babayev noted that, the main objectives of the seminar are studying Korea's experience in applying innovations in industry and achieving sustainable cooperation in science and technology between the two countries.

Then, head of the training group, Junju Kim, noted that, STEPI, established in 1987, plays an important role in developing Korea's scientific and technical policy and develops its national competitiveness by expanding its global thinking platform for research in this field. And the International Center for Innovative Cooperation, established with STEPI in 2014, is interested in sharing Korean experience in science, technology and innovation with partner countries, including with Azerbaijan.

Let us note that, within the framework of three-day seminars such topics as "Implementation of the policy of scientific technologies", "Management of science, technology and innovation parks", "Creation of a national regional innovation system" will be discussed. Reports will be heard on the important role of science, technology and innovation policies in national innovation, advances in science, technology and innovation aimed at boosting the Korean economy.

The current state of the scientific and technical policy of Azerbaijan, the policy of transfer and commercialization of Korean technologies and the current state of this sphere in Azerbaijan will also be discussed. Seminars will end with group trainings related to the promotion of technology transfer and commercialization in the context of Azerbaijan.

Upon completion of the seminar, participants will be awarded certificates.
