Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The delegation, led by Vice President of Peking University, Professor Tian Gang, visited the Institute of Physics of ANAS.

Guests met with Academician Nazim Mammadov, academician-secretary of Division of Physical Mathematical and Technical Sciences (DPMTS), Director of Physics Institute.

Vice-president of ANAS, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Institute, Academician Javad Abdinov, Deputy Director on Innovation and Transfer, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Ayaz Bayramov and chief of Department of relations with the academic structures of foreign countries of the Office of International Relations of the Presidium of the Academy Bunyamin Seyidov attended the meeting.

Mammadov informed Chinese scientists about the activities of the institutes of DPMTS. The department includes 7 scientific research institutes of ANAS. In the research work carried out in institutes, attention is paid to the application of modern methods, innovative approaches, the speaker underlined.

Professor T. Gang talked about the successful cooperation between China and Azerbaijan and the importance of the work carried out within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" strategy. The pro-rector briefed about the activities of the University of Peking, which marked its 120th jubilee last month.

At the end of the visit, the guests got acquainted with the latest material and technical base and the activities of scientists in the Innovation Sector of the Institute of Physics.
