Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Experts from different countries of the world participated at the XII Congress of Azerbaijani Urologists and Andrologists held in Baku. Recent scientific achievements and medical research in the sphere of urology and andrology were presented at the event. The Congress has dedicated to the 80th jubilee of well-known urologist, Honored Scientist, correspondent member of ANAS Sudeif Imamverdiyev.

Rector of the Azerbaijan Medical University, Professor Garay Garaybeyli opened the Congress and spoke about academician of the European Urology Association Sudeif Imamverdiyev’s achievements in the surgical treatment of the surgeon's nephroptosis, the pleural hyperplasia of the prostate gland, the success he has made in the field of neurosurgery, innovations applied in the field. Professor Sudeif Imamverdiyev is a full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences since 2011, Honorary Chairman of the Azerbaijan Association of Andrology and Reproductive Medicine, Head of the Urology Association, and Deputy Chairman of the Republican Council of Elders, the speaker underlined.

Head of the Baku City Health Department Elmira Aliyeva, chairman of the Turkish Urological Society, Professor Altesh Kadyoglu, chief physician of the Republican Clinical Hospital # 1 Telman Ibadov and others congratulated the physician-surgeon on the event.

Well-known surgeon S.Imamverdiyev was admitted to the Turkish Urology Society as honorary member.

Emil Nasirli, Editor-in-Chief of "Azerbaijanim" international magazine, congratulated the scientist and presented the Gold Order "Azerbaijan Pride", founded by the international magazine "Azerbaijanim", to S. Imamverdiyev for his exceptional contributions to fundamental and applied scientific research and development of statehood education and health in Azerbaijan.

Professor Sudeif Imamverdiyev expressed gratitude to the leadership of the country, his colleagues who appreciate his work, the collective of the international magazine "Azerbaijan" and the participants of the congress.

Then the film "The Life for the Human Health," which featured a prominent urologist's life has been shown.

Scientists participating in the congress, intellectuals representing foreign countries and others made presentations on various urological problems, ways to heal them, and the most up-to-date methods used in surgery.
