"Alimardan Bey Topchubashov. We will defend the interests of native Azerbaijan" and "Alimardan Bey Topchubashov, Caucasian Azerbaijan's demands from the Peace Conference" book translated by Azerbaijani Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Hungary, doctor of philological sciences Vilayat Guliyev have been presented.

The event, taking place in the Central Scientific Library, has been dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) and oranized by Institute of Literature named after N.Ganjavi.

The meeting was opened by vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature, academician Isa Habibbayli who gave information on President Ilham Aliyev’s order on "100th anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic". He said that a series of events were held in scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS in connection with the execution of these orders and will continue throughout the year.

Speaking about the books that have been presented, the author also pointed out that the author of the publications, V. Guliyev, has been conducting important researches and publications in the periodicals from the period of the USSR.

Diplomatic skills of the prominent public and political figure Alimardan Bey Topchubashov played an important role in the de facto recognition of the independence of our country at the Paris Peace Conference and reflected in these works, vice-president of ANAS emphasized.

Speaking at the event, Vilayat Guliyev informed about the process of book production. "Alimardan Bey Topchubashov. We will defend the interests of native Azerbaijan" book translated from the Russian language, reflects Topchubashov's information sent to the Azerbaijani government in 1919-1920, as well as articles and correspondence.

Speaking about a book titled "Alimardan Bey Topchubashov, Caucasus Azerbaijan's demmands from the Peace Conference", Guliev underlined that the publication was translated from English, where the borders, history, economy, geography of the country, March 31 genocide and other information is included.

Director of the Institute of Folklore, academician Mukhtar Imanov, correspondent member of ANAS Tehran Alishanoglu, department heads of the Institute of Literature, professors Asif Rustamli and Guler Abdullabeyova lined out that, V. Guliyev regularly conducts research on ADR period, and scientific facts prevail in his researches.
