The next meeting of the Scientific Council on Historical Problems of the Republican Scientific Research Coordination Council was held.

The chairman of the board, academician Shahin Mustafayev informed the participants about the agenda issues.

He underlined the importance of supervision over the relevance and scientific value of the problems researched in the scientific field of the country and the development of dissertation topics in the modern history science. He noted that the council should focus on identifying priority issues and issues that need to be addressed in the field of science, to strengthen their work in this field and to give advice to young scientists.

Then, the panel discussed 24 dissertations on specialties such as homeland, general, archeology, ethnography and ethnology, history of international relations, historiography, source studies and historical research.

As a result of the discussions, the dissertation topics were identified and recommendations were approved.
