“Green treasure " exhibition opened

An exhibition entitled Green treasure of Azerbaijan will open in Baku on 2nd May 2014.

The exhibition aims to raise awareness of the spectacular relict trees and forests in the Hyrcanian region of the Talysh Mountains, southeastern Azerbaijan.

This international exhibition project is a collaboration between Natural History Museum, Fribourg, Switzerland, the Institute of Botany of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Baku, Azerbaijan, Botanic Gardens Conservation International, United Kingdom, and Design NG Tornay Graphic and Communication, Fribourg, Switzerland.

Nearly 15 delegates from 6 countries ( Switzerland , Great Britain , Italy, Greece, Georgia , China) , representatives of embassies operating in a number of leading European countries , as well as a number of representatives of government agencies and ministries participated at the event. Academician Akif Alizadeh opened the event and talked about the importance of the meeting.
