Nakhchivan Division discussed the fifth call for the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the forthcoming tasks.

The chairman of the Division, academician Ismayil Hajiyev noted that in the first half of 2018 important measures were implemented in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the economic potential increased in recent years and the living standards of the people highered.

The scientist stressed the importance of the fifth call of the eighth session of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Supreme Assembly, where chairman of the Sumpreme Assembly defined program for the employees of the Nakhchivan Division in his report. He noted that the division should increase the efficiency of scientific researches, keep in mind the opportunities of using natural resources and contribute to the socio-economic development of the autonomous republic.

The event was also devoted to the results of scientific researches carried out in the scientific institutions of the division and the results of scientific and organizational work.

Later, director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology of the division, correspondent member of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli stressed that the staff of the enterprise should take part in exemplary lessons on Azerbaijan history and culture, as well as in the preservation of historical monuments.

Director of the Institute of Bioresources, academician Tariyel Talibov gave a speech on the state of application of scientific studies carried out at the institute.

Then Professor Aliyar Ibrahimov, Head of the Department of Plant Systematics at the Bioresources Institute, made some suggestions.
