Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Academician Vasif Babazade, Head of the Department of Mineral Resources, Faculty of Geology, Baku State University, has been awarded the title of Academician Alexander Tvalchrelidze.

The scientist deserved the award for "The gold-bearing sulfide deposits of the island arc poleosystems, their metallogenic properties and geodynamic development conditions" (2015) and “Ore deposits of the Alpine mountain-fold belt segment, and problems of their origin"(2017) monographs prepared together with Doctor of earth sciences Shahla Abdullayeva, Associate Professor of Geology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia with S. Kekelia and M. Kekelia,.

The award was given to Azerbaijani and Georgian scientists by the relevant decision of the Presidium of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences.
