Presented "Zangazur: migration, deportation, genocide, occupation history" monograph

Presentation of the monograph "Zangazur: migration, deportation, genocide, occupation history" by Haji Narimanoglu, chairman of the Zangazur Communities Public Union, Director of the Sector of Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.

The book was published with the financial support of the Council of State Support of Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, scientific consultant and author of the Preface to the book is the director of the Institute of History, academician Yagub Mahmudov, the scientific editor is the director of Office of Administration of ANAS, Doctor of political science - Fatali Abdullayev.

Speaking at the event, held at the promotion center of the “Azerikitab” the author of the monograph H.Narimanoglu noted that, the monograph has been studied the last two hundred years of the Zangazur region, which has been subjected to genocide, deportation, ethnic cleansing and occupation by the Armenian armed forces, with a general picture of the region's past episodes, the causes and consequences of the disaster, historical documents and details. In Zangezur, the local population has also been fighting against Tsarism's colonial policy, the Bolshevik-Dashnak invasion.

Director of the Azerikitab Center project Sabir Hasanov, director of the Baku State University, associate professor Abbas Abbasov, director of the Center for Egyptian Culture Ahmad Sami, writer and culturologist Aydin Khan Abilov and others spoke at the event. They noted the importance of publishing a monograph, which will bring to the world community the truth about Zangazur.

Monograph used 300 sources in different languages and is available for researchers, historians, teachers and students.
