Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On September 13, the participants of the International Scientific Conference "The Ottoman Empire in the First World War - Azerbaijan Relations and the Caucasus Islamic Army" with deep respect visited the grave of the great architect and creator of modern independent Azerbaijan, an outstanding statesman, brilliant son and national leader of our people Heydar Aliyev.

Also, was honored the memory of the outstanding ophthalmologist, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva and flowers was laid on her grave.

Then, the guests, visiting Alley of Martyrs, honored the memory of the heroic sons and daughters of the Motherland, who became martyrs in the name of independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and laid flowers to their graves and "Eternal Flame".

The participants of the conference also laid flowers at the memorial, erected in memory of the Turkish martyrs "Shehids" in the Alley of martyrs.
