The expedition carried out researches on the left side of the Alat-Astara highway in Gırkcharak in the Salyan region, held by Rashid Goyushev and in the burial grounds of Babazanli. Here were found the tenders, places of bonfires, the remains of residential buildings, parts of ceramic utensils of IX-XV centuries, also metal, glass fragments, and two stone slabs, with Arabic inscriptions.

In Bilasuvar region, scientists studied one of the monuments of Yedditapa, located in the cemetery of the village of Baidilli. The central part of the monument is in its settled form. During the exploration work, a very thin cultural layer of the early middle Ages was discovered. It was concluded that these hills were used as observation towers during the Sassanid invasions.

Excavations on Turagay hill, located near the Azerbaijani-Iranian border crossing, give grounds to assert that the monument was a large settlement in the early middle Ages.

In connection with the accidental finds, during his work in Yardimli, the expedition also visited this region. There were registered 6 caves of different sizes under the name Gum-Gum. The largest of them is called Bash Koyul (wasteland). There is also found a large catacomb grave in the territory of the source of Kahriz, places of observation in the Peshtasar mountain range, stone graves in the village of Kohne Arvana and another cemetery belonging to the Middle Ages. These monuments are located on the foot of Ayi Nasti rock.

It is planned to continue work next season.

Note that, the expedition was also attended by the head of the department of the institute, archaeologist, doctor of historical sciences, Professor Arif Mammadov.
