Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Director of ANAS Institute of Genetic Resources Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Zeynal Akperov received Dr. Stephen Meyer, head of department of Ecology and plant ecosystems, University of Gottingen in Germany. During the meeting they discussed issues of cooperation in the field of new methods of environmental botanical research, conservation of biological diversity, monographic study of plant Horuzgulu, which is one of the species of higher plants.

After meeting at the Institute held a seminar during which S.Meyer informed employees about his research.

After the seminar 3 days expedition was organized to Absheron, Siyazan, Shabran, Guba, Gobustan, Shamakhi, Aksu, Goychay, Ismailli to collect certain types of medicinal plants, as well as species of horuzgulu.
