The book "Ganja for a thousand years (951-1951)" by a researcher of the History Department of the Institute of Ethnography of ANAS Ganja Division Namlet Allahverdiyev was published.

The publication explores the socio-economic, political and cultural history of Ganja, one of the most important feudal cities in the Middle East in 951-1951, the capital of the empire of the Arran, the Shaddadids Emirate, the Seljuk and the Atabay. The author goes beyond traditional Soviet historiography and conducts his research with new scientific methods.

The book, written on the basis of the eastern, Azerbaijani (Turkic), Georgian, Russian and Western European sources, numismatic, epigraphic and archaeological materials are widely used. It is intended for schoolchildren and teachers, masters, doctoral students, historians and researchers, as well as a wide range of readers.
