Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, correspondent member Vasil Nikolov and deputy mayor of the Sofia, PhD. in archeology, associate professor Todor Chobanov visited ANAS National History Museum.
Director of the museum Academician Naila Velikhanli gave detailed information about the history of the establishment of this cultural center, said that the building, which was one of the most beautiful architectural monuments of Baku, was built in 1895-1897 and was the property of Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev, the Azerbaijani millionaire.
She noted that, the building of the museum, which is functioning as a scientific and research and cultural-educational institution in the structure of ANAS is overhauled with the order of President Ilham Aliyev.
Later Bulgarian guests got closely acquainted with the material culture examples of Azerbaijan in the museum of ancient and medieval times and visited the memorial museum of Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev.
The photographs about the life and activity of prominent philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev, valuable exhibits, as well as household items and historical documents created a rich impression on the guests.
Finally, academician Naila Valikhanli donated to the Bulgarian representatives the delicate editions of the museum.
