Presented essays published on the history of natural history

On October 9, the Central Scientific Library of ANAS hosted a presentation on the history of natural history, prepared by the Institute of History.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli, vice-president of ANAS, assessed the essays made during the short period of his activity as a contribution to the development of science. He emphasized that the publications presented to the public were the first important research on the history of nature science in Azerbaijan.

Later, the director of the Director of the Institute of the History of Science, Doctor of History, Professor Maryam Seyidbeyli made a speech about the essays. According to the decree of the President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizade, "Preparation of essays on the history of natural history" dated December 30, 2016, each essay consists of four chapters. The publications are based on archive materials, proposals and opinions of academics from relevant institutions.

It was noted that the essays reflects historical stages of the formation of natural sciences in history, history of formation of this area as an independent science in Azerbaijan, development directions of natural sciences in Azerbaijan SSR, as well as in scientific researches of ANAS and other higher educational institutions of the republic fundamental and applied researches and significant achievements.

Speaking at the presentation, academician-secretary of the Department of Social Sciences, academician Nargiz Akhundova, director of the Institute of Botany, academician Valida Alizadeh, director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, corresponding member of ANAS Misir Mardanov and others talked about the importance of books presented for future generations.
