Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The plenipotentiary ambassador of Greece in Azerbaijan Dimitrios Tsoungas visited the newly opened Central Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The director of Information Resource Center Library of library (IRC), Ph.D. in medicine Leila Imanova during a meeting with the ambassador told about representation in library of the books devoted to the Greek literature, put forward offers on an occasion of the organization of a virtual exhibition of books, and also virtual travel to the cultural centers of Greece. D.Tsoungas highly appreciated creation of embassies between the two countries and IRC partnerships, and also noted that during the next meeting in the Central Library, he plans to make a presentation on the theme of Greek mythology. The Ambassador expressed his satisfaction over the meeting and stressed the importance of practical measures to develop relations between the two countries. At the end the guest presented to the Central library the brochure of the play “Sheyda” of Huseyn Javid, which was translated into Greek, and also books about the Greek science and culture and the world literature in English.
