Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

National Aviation Academy (NAA) held an awarding ceremony of winners of the competition in creation the CanSat Azerbaijan 2018 satellite model on October 16. Initially, the participants familiarized themselves with the exhibition of satellite models created by the teams.

The event was attended by the rector of the NAA, chairman of the A Council for Space affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, academician Arif Pashayev, co-chairman of the Council for Space affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, scientific adviser on aerospace issues of the NAA, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Roald Sagdeev, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), academician Akif Alizadeh, Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and chairman of Azerkosmos OJSC Rashad Nabiyev.

The winner of the competition was NAA team "Envi_Sat". Students of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) took the second place and the third place was shared by the team of the Baku branch of Moscow State University after Lomonosov "MS_U_FO" and the team of Baku Engineering University "Rodimus".

In conclusion, the winners were awarded certificates and gifts.
