Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Employees of scientific-research institutes of Physics-Mathematics and Technical Sciences Division, as well as active and corresponding members of ANAS pilgrimaged the grave of the former President of ANAS, academician Mahmud Kerimov on the occasion 70th anniversary and laid a wreath at the grave of the scientist.

Academician Mahmud Kerimov began his scientific activities as an engineer at the Institute of Physics of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences in 1973. From 1974 to 1984 he worked as a research assistant in the Radiation Research Sector and in 2001 was a director of the sector.

M.Kerimov was the President of ANAS in 2001-2013.
