Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The book "Photo and word" by Shirmammad Nazarli, the director of the Public Relations Department of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS, has been published.

The publication was released as a methodical resource by the decision of the Scientific Council of the Journalism Faculty of the Baku State University dated September 26, 2017.

The editor of the book is Esmira Aghababagizi, a member of Writers' Union of Azerbaijan, and reviewers - Journalist of the Baku State University Journalism Faculty, Jahangir Mammadli and Mirnaib Hasanoglu, Chairman of the Union of Photographers of Azerbaijan, and the author of the Preface of the “Photo and word” Book is the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Press Council, Aflatun Amashov.

In the article, the author presents the unity of the photography through the journalistic theory and the images he has based on his experience. In addition, the history, features, development stages of photography are presented to the reader under the heading "World Photography History", "Photograph in Azerbaijan", "Photographs in Literary Art" and etc.

The book is intended for the students of journalism faculties of universities, photographers, amateur photographers, as well as for a wide audience of readers.
